Welcome Future Educators!
Hello from Mesabi Range College’s Education Program!
We would like to share information with you about our Education offerings. There are a variety of options for you to explore as you consider a career in Education.
Your first option at Mesabi Range College might be to select the 16 credit Certificate Program or the two-year Teacher's Assistant A.A.S. Degree. This program is designed to move you into a child care center or a public school classroom where you would work with directors and lead teachers as a well-prepared paraprofessional. Demand is very high for qualified Teacher's Assistants across the nation thanks to the No Child Left Behind requirements. Our program is online, user friendly, and can be completed in four semesters.
Your second option might be to begin the first two years of your four-year Early Childhood, Elementary Education, or Middle School/Secondary Education Degree at Mesabi Range College by following a program plan that coordinates the Mesabi A.A./A.S. Degree requirements with the Education B.A./B.S. requirements at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. A smooth academic transition is guaranteed by signed, articulation agreements between the two campuses.
